40 Days for Life – September 25th-November 3rd
40 Days for life is a national prolife organization designed to save lives and eliminate abortion in our community. They do this by twice a year running campaigns, 40 days in length, with prayer, fasting and peaceful vigil, in cities across the globe. People are reached and lives are changed. To date 7,536 babies, that we know of, have been spared due to the presence of 40 Days for Life and over 40 abortion centers have closed following a local 40 days for life campaign.
Get involved in this Fall’s campaign, September 25th through November 3rd. You can commit to pray or fast or even sign up for a time to stand vigil outside of our local Planned Parenthood, or any combination of the three!
Sign-up now by going HERE and scrolling down to Iowa to find the location nearest you. There you can sign in to the vigil calendar and click on it to enter your sign-up information and then check the statement of peace. It will take approximately 24 hours for you to be verified at which time you will be able to go to the calendar and enter the dates and times you will stand. Your information will not be shared with others and we will know who and when shifts are covered, this is important so we can fill empty slots for maximum coverage.

Webcam abortion rule approved by Iowa Board of Medicine,
But keep praying!
But keep praying!
But Planned Parenthood will try to get the vote against webcam abortions overthrown. They will not let this lessening of their revenue and power go easily. Please pray that the decision will not be overturned.

Parish Pro-Life Websites
I have heard of only two parishes who have websites for their parish pro-life group – Holy Trinity and St. Theresa Parish. If you would like ideas to make a parish website, please check out Holy Trinity’s HERE. They have many good videos along the side and information about some current events.
St. Theresa’s pro-life website is essentially a repeat of this blog (since I am part of the pro-life group there), but one of the best parts is that we have a large link “Help! I’m Pregnant!” that takes anyone interested to Iowa Right to Life’s webpage that is very helpful for anyone facing an unplanned pregnancy. I highly recommend putting this link into any webpage you may make. See the link HERE.
New Pro-Life Books
Americans United for Life is supporting a new book that has just come out Abuse of Discretion: The Inside Story of Roe v. Wade. Check it out HERE.
40 Days for Life also has a new book - 40 Days for Life: Discover What God Has Done… Imagine What He Can Do. Check it out HERE. The image above is when Pope Francis was given a copy of the book by the London 40 Days for Life Director.
God bless you and your work! Keep it up!
P.S. This isn’t exactly pro-life related, but I know that almost all of you will be interested in checking out the new Divine Treasures website HERE. Divine Treasures is the local Catholic bookstore, and is a good place to pick up many pro-life books or resources :)
