Here is the current list of local events for the next couple months. I hope that you and your friends and family are able to participate in and enjoy several of them. Consider hearing inspirational talks at the fundraising dinners and watch the video of our new Pope blessing a beautiful boy with cerebral palsy.
And PLEASE send a message to the House of Representatives to pass the Health Care Conscience Rights Act (see the link below). The HHS mandate goes into effect this August, so time is running out. The e-mail message is already prepared for you, it only takes one minute. Thank you for doing your part!

Iowans for Life Banquet – July 27th
Join us for the Iowans for Life Banquet on Saturday, July 27, at 6:00 pm at Holiday Inn Airport, 6111 Fleur Drive, Des Moines. The dinner will be $25/person.
The guest speaker will be Bobby Schindler (brother of Terri Schiavo). Bobby Schindler is the Co-Executive Director of the Terri Schiavo Life & Hope Network which works to protect the lives of the medically vulnerable and disabled from the threat of euthanasia.
Following the tragic death of his sister, Terri, via imposed dehydration and starvation, Bobby gave us his teaching job at Tampa Catholic High School and became a full-time pro-life and disability rights advocate. Today Bobby assists families in need of legal action to prevent their loved ones from health care rationing and food and water removal. Bobby and the Schindler family continue to advocate for persons with disabilities and he works tirelessly to put an end to the growing pro-death mentality that is plaguing our nation.
Please RSVP by July 22 to 515-255-4113 or email@example.com.
Iowans for Life Volunteers Needed

Latest News on Gosnell
See the latest news on the Gosnell case HERE.
The only good thing I can say is that I have been impressed by how pro-lifers (and normal, concerned people) have been able to bring attention to the case using Facebook and Twitter and work to overcome the complete lack of coverage by most major media. We do have a voice!
It gives me hope that we can use technology to play our part in the new evangelization. We can’t determine the result of the case, but we can apply positive pressure by letting people know that there are a lot of people who care about protecting women and babies! Keep sharing!
NCHLA – Send a message! Time is running out before the HHS Mandate goes into effect!
Thanks to all those who sent in comments opposing the Obama Administration’s latest proposed regulations on the contraceptive/abortifacient/
Now it is vital that we re-dedicate our efforts to pass the Health Care Conscience Rights Act (H.R. 940). The U.S. House of Representatives again should be urged to include H.R. 940 in upcoming “must-pass” legislation.
Please click on the link below to send a message to your Representative today! You will also be asked to send a message to Speaker John Boehner (R-OH).
Click the link below to send your message:
Even if you have already contacted your Representative in support of H.R. 940, it is important that Members again hear of the need to pass this legislation.
On August 1st the HHS mandate will begin to be enforced against nonprofit religious schools, charities and health care providers. In the days to come, Congress must decide whether to address this problem through must-pass legislation before that deadline. Please act today to protect conscience rights and religious liberty!
In March, North Dakota Governor Jack Dalrymple, passed a law, based on Americans United for Life model legislation, making that state the first in the nation to ban sex-selection abortions AND abortions for genetic abnormalities. Even in the face of mounting cultural adversity, AUL stays hard at work!

Creative Pro-Life Fundraiser Idea
A new option for pro-life fundraising was recently brought to my attention. A product called “Humble Angel Honey” was specifically designed to help with pro-life fundraising efforts. It’s a fun idea and something different if your group has gotten into a fundraising rut – the Omaha-based organization offers angel-shaped containers filled with pure honey.

Beautiful Story about Boy with Cerebral Palsy Blessed by Pope Francis
The Pope hugging the boy is right at the beginning of the video (so you only need to watch the first 30 seconds), but it is also impressive to hear the media talking about it so positively if you want to continue watching! See video HERE.
All the Popes in my lifetime have been amazing and I’m so excited about Pope Francis too!
